Workshop

When we first began workshop, I was dreading sharing my work with everyone. I've never considered myself a good writer, especially when it came to poetry. I was in group three and was happy to see how it worked before  it was my turn to go. Hearing other classmates' work inspired me to try harder. My poems always seemed very empty, like I couldn't go deep into thoughts. As workshop progressed, I found myself wanted to raise the quality of my writing. Now that workshop is over, I am disappointed it wasn't longer. I felt like I was just getting into my best writing when I was writing poems particularly for workshop. I have to say I really learned a lot from this exercise and now I know what I need to continue to grow as a writer.

  1. I agree with you fully on this. I was very scared with the thought of workshop at first but as time progressed, I began to enjoy it. I loved hearing feedback from my fellow classmates. It gave me a sense of clarity and made me look forward to presenting my poems to the class
