muse work
This semester has been a long and hard one. But this class has helped a lot more than I thought a class ever would. Beginning of the semester started with a break up that I never saw coming and everything just seemed to go downhill from there. Having to write and tap into my muse really let me get things off my chest and it helped with trying to not think about it all day. I know I wrote a lot about break up poems but it always still seemed to be on my mind. I do believe it also helped me to move on from it. So thank you for teaching me about the muse & helping me learn new ways to get things off my mind.

Getting emotions out in my writing is one of the main reasons why I spend almost all my free time doing it. I’ve got plenty of life problems to sort out, and writing both poetry and short stories have helped me cope. Writing a lot about something that bothers you is okay, unless it starts to end up crashing down on you harder. Muse work is a great tool for stress relief, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with this. This has been a tough semester for me as well and I think that this class has been extremely beneficial. Like a sort of cleansing session or something to get my mind off of the things I have been dealing with. I can look back through my journal and see the progress I have made, not only as a writer, but as a person in the past few months. I'm very happy I ended up taking the class.
ReplyDeleteI can completely understand what you mean. Poetry has helped me to deal with and move on with difficult situations. There are some poems that I have had to write in the moment and set aside till I could deal with the emotions. But then again expressing those emotions helped me to let go. I must say that I have learned a lot about myself in this class. Thank you!
